Andaluces por el Mundo takes us to Lima
Pioneer travelling programme lands in Latin America to visit Perú and its capital, Lima.
Located in the shores of the Pacific Ocean, Lima was founded in 1535 by the Spanish conqueror Fransico Pizarro troops and named the capital of Spanish colonies over almost two centuries. Lima is nowadays a city full of contrasts and imbalances. Well-off neighbourhoods mixed with what is known as ‘shanty towns’, groups formed by people form the provinces that were forced to leave their home, pushed by economic needs or by the unsustainable situation provoked by the terrorist movement that has flogged to Perú for more than two decades.
All this explained by five Andalusian people who currently live there. On Monday 31st at 22:15 on Canal Sur TV.
