Flamenco, a winning bet of Medina Media
On Friday 19thN, Flamenco Television on the Internet launches its new design.
With ‘Flamenko’ was created the website ‘Flamenko.es’ who has kept a day-to-day bond with Medina Media now that flamenco has been declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Moreover, Medina Media Andalucía carried out ‘Flamenco Soy’ campaign, broadcasted on Canal Sur, Canal Sur 2 and Canal Sur Radio.
Past 15th September, matching up with the beginning of Sevilla Bienal Flamenco, the website became Flamenco Television on the Internet. And, due to an I+D bet, Medina Media brought flamenco to new media in High Definition (1.080 p).
During the last two months, ‘Flamenko.es’ has received more than 16.000 visits and has more than 1.000 fans in Facebook. Yesterday it broke a new record with 740 visits from 26 contries.
Next Friday 19thN, ‘Flamenko.es’ will do a quality improvement: it will change its name, have an English version, its videos will be subtitled, it will have its own Youtube channel and join social networks in India and Middle East with more than 1.000 followers.
Recently, Medina Media has signed an agreement with Venevision Internacional for the worldwide distribution of the documentary ‘A trip to flamenco of XXI century’, apart from ‘Ever Sara’ about flamenco dancer Sara Baras, that the Andalusian prudction company will launch for 2011.
