Domingo González leaves the Flamenco Biennial

09 / 06 / 11

The up-to-now director of the Flamenco Biennial explains that his contract finishes in several days and that now he will face a new professional challenge.

In its goodbye letter, Domingo González, has stated that during this time “all the responsibles for the municipal government have allowed me to develop with freedom and autonomy my work, therefore the decisions that I have taken have been guided by my professional criterion (for good and bad)”.

Domingo announces the beginning of new challenges, although in a statement to Flamencotv.es has explained that his near future will be at University, where he is on extended leave of absence. Likewise, although in his missive he doesn’t explain the causes of his stoppage of work, the change of government in the municipal elections may have something to do with it.

Domingo González has been director of the Biennial since 2005, with Juan Carlos Marset as Culture representative.
