Alberto Arce joins ‘Comando R’ of Medina Media

His first work for the production company will be “The battle of Misrata”.

The journalist in countries in conflict, Alberto Arce (Gijón 1976), is the first incorporation into ‘Comando R’ of Medina Media. His workmate will be Ricardo García Vilanova, photographer and cameraman, who also has worked for prestigious media such as Wall Street Journal and Columbia Journalism Review. They will be under the coordination of David Beriaín, veteran war journalist that leads this new work line of the corporation.

The reports and articles of Alberto Arce have been released on La 2 de TVE, Euronews, ETB, Al Jazeera, El Mundo, La Vanguardia, Periodismo Humano, Vice, Diagonal... He is the author of several documentaries. Among them, “To shoot an elephant”, a full-lenghth film exhibited in 52 international festivals. Moreover, he owns a score of international awards for his documentaries and for its work in Palestine, Libano, Irak and Afganistan.

“The battle of Misrata” will show the fight between Libyan rebels and Gaddafi and will be the first work of Alberto Arce for ‘Comando R’. Next, he will prepare the full-lenght documentary “Trincheras” (“Trenchs”), also based on the Libyan conflict.
