Mar Barrera, appointed Director of New Projects in Medina Media
The Corporation moves the Direction department to Madrid to reinforce its presence in the capital.
Mar Barrera joined Medina Media in 2006 as first reporter of ‘Andalusians around the World’. Then, she coordinated and hosted ‘Andalusia with style’. In 2008 she directed and hosted ‘Andalusians with Excellence’ and in 2009 directed ‘Flamenko’, both for Canal Sur 2. Barrera has also directed the documentary ‘Antonio Banderas, 30 years of success’, distributed worldwide by Venevision International. In 2010, she moved to Madrid in order to coordinate and host on Antena 3 a section of the variety programme ‘3D’.
Until now, Mar Barrera has been responsible for the New Projects of the Corporation for America, as well as ‘FlamencoTV’, the flamenco television channel on the Internet. From 2010, Juanma Márquez, who has left the company voluntarily, was the person responsible for the coordination of new projects in Medina Media from Seville.
