'Sea Bites'. This short documentary (12 minutes-length) directed by David Beriaintells the story of Serxio Ces, barnacle fisher from Cedeira, Galicia. It is shortlisted for the 2012 Goya Awards.
Synopsis:
Wind blows. Water hits the cliffs. Two meters of rock, that is the space, filled with water and oxygen, in which barnacles grow. Two meters in which the sea hits roughly with millenial strength. A border of waves and foam in which Serxo and his companions fight for a sea bite.
A border between courage and fear. Of temerity and common sense. Two meters with no margin of error. There is were barnacles live. There is were Serxo lives.
'Sea bites' is the battle against the sea of some warriors that do not consider themselves heroes.
